Nice vintage condition overall. There is some fingerprint residue evident on the back of metal shutter blades. There is an unmarked front lens element present, but no rear. No braising on casing, shutter release cable cover is still present.

They are said to be sturdy, simple, and very maintainable. Shutter operates smoothly and consistently at all speeds up to 1/2 second. A very nice antique Wollensak alphax 3 shutter only no lens, made by in Rochester, NY, probably between 1935 and operates smoothly at all speeds but is little stiff 1 second. Iris operates smoothly across full range.
